Each month we plan to take you behind the scenes of our business by introducing you to our staff and owners. Get to know the driving force behind our business: who we are, what we do, and why we LOVE all things wellness and IV! First up is our owner Simone Le Mesurier, who gives us a glimpse into her glamorous life which she shares with her husband Peter and spoiled puppies Buzz and Midori. |
What is the thing you love the most about living in Newcastle? Coming home and finding peace. We live right on Merewether beach so we get to experience the fantastic beach lifestyle that is quintessentially Novocastrian. I love sitting at my kitchen bench watching the passing parade of people walking their dogs, or the kite surfers and paragliders so close I can reach out and touch them! Everything in our home screams simplicity and style. It really is breathtaking from the moment you walk in and take in the helical staircase up to the second level where the blue hue of the ocean hits you right in the face, making the senses soar. We never tire of it. | What can we find you doing when you’re not at work? Renovating! Peter and I just bought a classic home built in the 1960’s, so we spend all our downtime with a tool in hand or scouring Gumtree for the perfect vintage pieces to deck out the space with. We both tend to be slightly obsessive when we take on a passion project, and this time is no different. If we are working on a project, we will be day tripping to the Hunter Valley, sitting on our balcony and breathing in the salty air, travelling, or (most likely) at The IV Lounge having a treatment. |
What’s your favourite treatment at The IV Lounge? This is a hard one – I am a vitamin junkie! I’ve had every treatment we offer! For drips, I love a glutathione, vitamin C and follow up with an ALA push. It’s great for my skin. The Ultimate Replenish Push gives me a massive quick hit of everything I need. I’m addicted to Dermablading right now, that smooth feeling and the way my product glides over my skin afterwards is just amazing. Though, I have started a PRP (platelet rich plasma) journey! I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try it, but I’m hooked! I really love the fact that the product used is my own plasma. It’s quick and easy. So far, I have had my marionette lines treated and next week I am starting on my neck. I can’t wait to see the results! |
